Department of Sleigh Operations
The Department of Sleigh Operations (DSO) is responsible for the housing and maintenance AKA upkeep of all sleighs and also responsible for overseeing the hardworking Sleigh Elves who dedicate themselves to this department.
Sleigh maintenance is important for all's health and safety. Those within this sub-department conduct regular inspections, repair slieghs, and polish each special collection for events (coronations, Christmas Eve, parties, weddings, ETC.).
Sleighs needing repairs are often taken out of service but this is only for a few days. \
Sleigh Mechanics are those that work on fixing sleighs.
Safety is paramount at the Department of Reindeer Operations and the Department of Sleigh Operations. Every sleigh is tested and quality controlled for safety and security.
Sleighs, specifically Believer-Class Sleighs, are checked for safety and are equipped to handle the rigors of Santa's extensive flight path. The reindeer reins, the reindeer harnesses, and other equipment are routinely checked for safety, security, and health for all involved.
Elves in both the Department of Reindeer Operations and Department of Sleigh Operations are often the unsung heroes within the Valley. Their dedication to Santa Claus and the mission runs deep in their souls as everything seems to run smoothly. Although this can be said for all Christmas Elves, not much would occur without both departments.

The coordination of both sleigh and reindeer takes two deparments and even Flight Command in order to ensure Santa's Christmas Eve Journey is successful each year. Roles and Responsbilities
There are many sleighs and all of them must be stored when not in use. Each special collection of sleighs (Aurora-Borealis-Class Sleighs, Believer-Class Sleighs, Claus-Class Sleighs) is stored within two barns each. While the barns are decorated differently, there is nothing special about them. The only thing that would be considered "cool" is the hidden ramp within both sleigh barns and animal residences that are part of the tunnel system and are used in emergencies. There are also many barns that host the working sleighs. The Sleigh Elves also keep track of what sleighs are out and where. if a working sleigh is outside the Village and is lost/taken/whatever, they'll often not care. What is triple-checked and triple-secured are the special collectiion of sleighs.
