Fictional Places
The storyline of Akadimía takes place in a region known as the Middle Seas. Several areas of this region have inspiration in Earth-like locations.
Dragonshome Islands
This island chain's physical characteristics resemble the Japanese islands of Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, and Sado. The islands lie in a geologically active ring of fire similar to our world. Storms and earthquakes feature prominently in the cultures inhabiting the islands.
Western Northern Continent
The western areas of the Northern continent take inspiration from the dense forests of pre-industrial Europe and the Ural high mountain passes. These are the homes to several Viking-like tribes and many fantastic creatures, both real and imagined.
Eastern Northern Continent
Broad grasslands and temperate forests dominate the eastern areas of the Northern continent. This portion of the continent offers a combination of Western Europe near France and Germany and the central Asiatic grasslands that gave birth to many of Earth's nomadic tribes.
