Dessarin Valley
The Dessarin Valley lies between the Sword Mountains and the High Forest. It's home to a diverse range of folk, although most inhabitants are either humans or halflings. The main industry of the Dessarin Valley is agriculture, and Goldenfields play a large part in the agricultural economy of the North.
The valley is the most fertile area of northwest Faerûn, an as such it is considered too important to raid for most civilized people around it and many different settlements have cropped up along trade routes.
Geography
Most of the valley consists of open plains with small forested areas. Some areas have more hills to them, but rarely very large ones, with the exception of the Sumber Hills in the middle of the valley. Many rivers, big and small, flow through the area. Larges of them is the River Dessarin, but the River Surbrin also plays a huge role in the northern parts of the area.
Fauna & Flora
Many different things grow here as the fertile soil makes plants that normally have a hard time surviving this far north stand a chance. In the same way, a varied selection of animals have migrated north to follow sources of food.
Natural Resources
While agricultural resources are by far the biggest exports, there are a few places rich in ore - and more easily accessible than having to mine a mountain.
