E.L Enterprises

The preferred clothing manufacturer on Eloria is called E.L Enterprises.   They are a favorite of the Royals and Nobility, and their annual fashion show is well attended by members of the Elite from across the galaxy.   They are currently collaborating with the lead scientists on Eloria to create a fabric that can enhance magical powers. This very expensive fabric will only be available for the elite of the Upper Classes.

History

The history of its rise to fame makes for an interesting story. Let’s start at the beginning…     Many years ago, King Eldereen the 3rd of Eloria, a dictator who had a very expensive palette for everything and anything, ordered a Baron from Trint and close friend, Baron Brand Felderman to find a tailor who could source for him alone, the finest fabrics in all of Eloria. Brand Felderman was an ultra-pedantic man who had to be involved in all things possible, making this task a perfect fit for him. He was also being inadvertently blackmailed by the King, but that’s for another story. So, he and 3 servants to handle the tent building, food, and his personal hygiene, set out one icy morning in search of a tradesperson who would be the exclusive service provider for the King's insatiable desire to be seen!   On route through the Veran Mountains, about 567km west of the capital, near the town of Germala, the convoy came across a man who was walking down a dirt road, wearing the most brilliant yellow and blue robes. He stood out from the winter landscape in a flurry of color. When asked for directions to the next big town, Brand asked him where he sourced his clothing. To this, he replied, "I am the master of my own colorful journey". This man was Eljah Lawnrife, a humble but fashionable artist from the town of Seevra. He invited Brand and his entourage to his modest home for some refreshments. The two men spent hours talking, laughing, and after 9 bottles of Peran Ale, crying. The following morning, Brand was shown the small studio adjacent to his house. This is where Eljah worked on his craft, which he had become known for in the town. Eljah was not only a fashion designer, but he wove all his linen by handloom. He used the silk derived from the commonly found Wood Worm and had a small industry blossoming in a tiny little room. He hand-dyed everything himself with the help of his best friend, Magi Tran, who cast spells for him that fast-tracked the entire process.   Brand knew straight away that this was the King’s next personal groomer. It was a feeling so strong, that he invited Eljah back to the capital to meet with the King. On arrival, with 20 pieces of clothing to show, King Eldereen immediately commissioned Eljah to create the next season’s collection for him.   When the collection was revealed 5 months and 4 days later, the King was so emotionally moved by what he saw, that he made a decision to move Eljah back to the capital, to permanently move into the palace so that whenever the King wanted, he could have a new piece of clothing to show off.   A year later, after Eljah needed much bigger premises to keep up with the eccentric King’s clothing fetish, a factory was built, and hence E.L, as in Eljah Lawnrife, Enterprises was born.   When the King died of old age a few years later, E.L Enterprises no longer could afford the output and decided to branch out, still in the luxury market, but offering their ranges to clothing stores like Prapa, Normind, and Lailah Clothing - franchises that were dotted all over Eloria.   And this is how E.L Enterprises became the number one fashion name for the rich, the noble, and the ultra-fashionable. So, yes, there is a moral to this story… if you don’t take the dirt roads in life, you may never know what luck is waiting for you!
