Chicago Globe

Chicago Globe

The Chicago Globe is a major morning newspaper in the city of Chicago. It's most popular in the working-class communities and particularly with Eastern European ethic groups. In more proper circles, such as the city's rich and powerful, the paper is looked upon with distain and outright hostility.

Public Agenda

The newspaper's fame rests on its reporting about government corruption. While it doesn't focus on the crime beat, it often connects some of the underworld with their pet politicians, which is not appreciated by either group. The paper has a strong populist element, supporting union causes.   While it tends to rely on wire services such as the Associated Press and United Press Associations for its domestic reporting, the Globe dispatches reporters around the world, with a particular emphasis on the European and Middle Eastern regions. This "news from home" is part of what makes its readers so loyal.
