Marcel Gosse in Adventures Untold | World Anvil

Marcel Gosse

Marcel will explain to anyone who asks that growing up in France’s most famous family of acrobats was just the first step toward a career as a mountain climber. He generally neglects to mention that the next step beyond that was to a far more lucrative career as a cat burglar.

Stunts

Without a Net
Your circus training has made you a world-class acrobat. You can perform feats that boggle the mind. Walking across a tightrope or opening a window while hanging by your toes from a rope ladder are child’s play to you. The difficulty of such actions are reduced by two steps. When climbing, you can spend a Fate Point to remove any environmental or situational difficulty modifiers, such as wet surfaces or darkness. You also have a +2 bonus on all rolls to fall.
In Plain Sight
Despite, or perhaps because of, your performing background, you know how to fade away into the background. You don’t experience any negative environmental modifiers when you’re using your Stealth skill. In fact, you can even try to hide when you’re out in the open, where most people would normally say that it was impossible. Once you’re hidden, even active searchers don’t get the usual +2 to their Notice or Investigation rolls.

This ability only works as long as you remain perfectly still. As soon as you move or perform any physical action, you break cover and are immediately visible to anyone who might be looking.
Casing the Joint
You have an outstanding visual memory and once you have made an inspection of a location, you can recall it in precise detail. This ability is subconscious, so when you want to recall something specific, you need to actively think about that aspect of the location.
