Found primarily in the northwest of Faerûn, Damarans are of moderate height and build, with skin hues ranging from tawny to fair. Their hair is usually brown or black, and their eye color varies widely, though brown is most common.
History
The Damaran people are descended from the Netherese of Low Netheril. When the empire collapsed, those of Low Netheril were the only survivors. Over time, these survivors intermingled with the
Rashemi,
Chondathans, and others to create the Damaran ethnic group.
Culture
The basis of Damaran culture is a strong moral foundation in lawfulness and order. Those who were seen to have scrupulous morals were often shunned from Damaran-centric societies. To many this was seen as resulting from stubbornness and pride.
