Trode Bear Escape in A To Zoo | World Anvil

Trode Bear Escape

If you encounter a trode bear, please vacate the area and find your nearest trode shelter. These buildings are bright yellow and markers across each Sector will guide you.

We are unfortunately announcing that two of our most dangerous species, trode bears, have escaped their enclosure. These animals are dangerous and we cannot stress enough that people be careful when visiting the A To Zoo. We cannot close our entire zoo due to the Zoological Collections Openings License, so if any trode bear is spotted please report it to the authorities and we will put that Sector into lockdown.

Trode Bears

Trode bears are a mammal species hailing from Temperil, a planet in the Milky Way. Trode bears are ruthless predators, capable of storing electrical energy from the environment and dispersing it elsewhere in concentrated lasers. These animals are the one apex predator on their native planet above the rest, their claws the same size as their heads, running twice the speed of a native person of Temperil.

We are telling you this information to keep you safe. Trode bear's one weakness is their eyesight. They don't have the best eyesight, and as long as you stay quiet the bears most likely will not notice you. As soon as they do notice you though, it is over.

The two escaped trode bears have unfortunately discovered how to use the teleportation pads to get to different Sectors, meaning nowhere is safe.

How To Stay Safe

Each Sector has countless Trode Shelters. These yellow buildings are equipped with tarsarium doors and walls which we promise cannot be destroyed by the bears. If you spot a trode bear please press a button given to you at the entrance to the Zoo.

Once a button is pressed, that Sector will immediately go into lockdown and all visitors must head to the closest Trode Shelter. We cannot track our bears since their electrical currents have destroyed their trackers, so we are relying on visitor's help.

I'll be real: those bears that shoot the shit outta people with lightning have gotten loose and I can't find any. I'm scared, yo.
— Worried zookeeper

We are happy to report that both trode bears are in their enclosure, which has been reinforced and will not happen again. We apologise for any stress caused to any visitors, and hope you all enjoy visits in the future.
