Mega Coprolite

Sat right at the entrance to the A To Zoo is the Mega Coprolite. Only myself and Rox know the true origins of this statue, over ten feet tall and wide, perched on a golden spiral pillar. None of our zookeepers know what this statue is, and if our visitors found out it would probably cause a disgusted uproar.

Crappy Origin

The Mega Coprolite was discovered by Rox, the zoo's curator. She found this magnificent artifact when hunting for trode bears for her collection. Instead of coming across these vicious animals, she discovered a ginormous coprolite buried in the ground. It took hours of begging her staff to take it back to the zoo, but she eventually wore them down and the fossil poop was brought back.

Smells Like Home

This poop came from the planet Temperil, inhabited by lovely people who we see sometimes at our zoo. This coprolite apparently smells horrific to the temperilians, but is odorless to everybody else. We have recieved several complaints, and some laughs, from people reporting a foul odor at the entrance to the zoo, but unfortunately there is nothing Rox is willing to do about it since she has become attached to her statue.

A Scientific Anomaly

Over the years we have had hundreds, maybe even thousands, of palaeobiologists approaching us to inquire about this gigantic coprolite. The size suggests that there were previously animals on Temperil beyond the size of what people previously thought existed, and I assume word just got out about our artifact so scientists pop over to try and convince Rox to let them take it to study.

She says no, of course, because as previously stated Rox has formed a weirdly close bond with this poop. Rox returned to Temperil thirty years after she extracted the coprolite, and as it turns out her actions caused the banning of removal of coprolites from its natural environment without proper licensing. She profusely apologised for her actions to the Palaeontology Society, but since she did nothing wrong at the time, all was well.

Zookeeper Worshipping

I consider myself to be somewhat of a troll, and I like to prank the zookeepers here. Every time we get new hires, I tell them that it is company policy to kiss the coprolite every time you walk past it. Now we get streams of zookeepers kissing the poop, and it is hilarious to me.
