Wynsumheord

Scope

The motivation behind building Wynsumheord

My motivation for creating all of my songs, worlds, characters, stories, and other creative ideas is the same; I have a huge imagination, and I think of projects bigger than anything I will probably ever be able to fully accomplish within my short and busy life, but I feel that I want to get as much of it out of my brain as I can before it’s too late. That’s why I write, draw, record, talk about, film, and document everything that comes to mind.

The goal of the project

I am sharing my world so that people can learn about my characters and my story. I also hope to host a campaign one day when I am not too busy.

Wynsumheord's Unique Selling point

My world is set in a medieval fantasy setting, but the morals and storyline are deeply rooted deeply in Christian values. Everything I do reflects my faith, and Wynsumheord is no exception. Nevertheless, this is made for everyone to enjoy regardless of faith, religion, or interest. It is not made to be preachy or anything. But, the morals are clear, the subject is clear, and it is indeed considered faith-friendly.

Theme

Genre

The Adventures of Magnar & Syndri is an adventure/fantasy/romance with several other underlying themes.

Reader Experience

The mood of the story varies. Each of the characters and adventures displays a wide range of emotions. We feel the jovial, light-hearted instances of family connection. We feel the passion and love when romance factors in. We feel the heartbreak and sadness in times of loss. We feel the gruesome fear when ghastly fiends appear, and we feel the glorious triumph when our heroes claim victory.

Reader Tone

On the provided scale, you will probably count this world as a Noble Gray because there are dark aspects and wondrous aspects, but good always overcomes evil.

Recurring Themes

The main theme of this particular story leans towards brotherhood, loyalty, and trust. In trying times, you can always depend on true family, friends, and God to help you through. Magnar and Syndri have the kind of relationship all siblings should strive for. They are definitely not perfect, but they wish the best for each other and would give their lives for each other. Also, God is often referenced. The main characters pray and remember bible verses when they prove relevant to current events. Good always overcomes evil, but this doesn't mean that the good side will never experience loss or defeat. Even if a cohort is slain, the moral of the story is not revenge, but rather forgiveness and outreach (not to say that the villain will necessarily automatically change his ways, and not to say that no good characters actively seek out revenge. You asked for a theme, so I'm explaining it, but as I said before, none of the characters are perfect. Sometimes a "good" character will do a "bad" thing, and sometimes a "bad" character will do a "good" thing).

Character Agency

The characters have average leverage in all situations such as normal humans in the real world do. It all comes down to whether or not you have the courage, strength, and determination necessary to bring about the change you want to see. It also takes a realistic amount of participation and cooperation to keep the change going. This is not one of those things where, no matter how hard the characters try, they will never change anything because their situation is inevitably doomed. This is a more realistic world, but usually good prevails in the end.

Focus

The household of Havardir, his two sons.
The Mundbyrdians and the tasks around Dryhtenhaven and all over Wynsumheord in all of its regions.
The progression and development of Wynsumheord as a young settlement; the opposition, cooperation, and allyship of the forest tribes in regards to modern advancement; the treaties, threats, oppression, and intrusion of the surrounding kingdoms upon it (namely Wahstrehite).
Magnar and Syndri are the main characters, therefore, a lot of the focus points are centered around them. There is growth and character development concerning the brothers, and also deeper struggles, conflicts, and mysteries regarding their family history, their mother, and the decisions they make every day.

Drama

The Wahstrehite King attempting to acquire Wynsumheord as his own by force, violence, and terrorizing. The other three kings trying to negotiate and form treaties with Wynsumheord.
The forest tribes' disputes against Wynsumheord and modern progression.
Internal disputes of Wynsumheord amongst itself and its own regions.
Mundbyrdian issues across the different sects, and their interactions with each other.
Typical normal issues of the village people, thieves, farming issues, weather, etc.
Magnar and Syndri have a lot of drama as they develop as characters. Each new adventure brings new issues. Magnar also has a bunch of woman stuff going on. In addition to that, there is a direct connection to Havardir, Magnar, and Syndri in regards to the Lytelcroft witch and the Prince of Wahstrehite due to an ancient prophecy.
