Slumaberry

Slumaberries are small, round, plump, juicy blueish-purple berries that grow upon small, leafy shrubs most commonly found in the Sundorwick Forests and the Firgenholt Wood . The fruit is sweet and the sap is much like that of a grape. Despite its lovely flavor and fitting consistency, it is not used to make wine due to its potency. Slumaberries contain a sedative property that will put anyone who consumes but one of it into a deep sleep for about an hour. The more berries consumed, the longer the slumber. These berries, when eaten in large quantities, can put their victims in a coma-like state for days on end. This is why the berries are commonly used for medical purposes and even poison. When a small amount is added to tea or soup, it can assure a good, peaceful night's sleep for you. When the sap comes in contact with skin, it has no effect. But, if it is injected into your bloodstream, it has a quicker and more potent effect than it does when ingested. This is why many warriors from the forest tribes utilize them in battle, tipping the heads of their arrows etc.
