Il'ron'dii Naggacii - Great House Naggacii

Prowling the sunless seas and waterways of the underworld, the vast maritime fleet of the sovereigns of Na’alvihor have enforced their authority over trade here for millennia. Compared to some as bloodthirsty reavers and pirate lords, the Naggacii maybe unorthodox, but they are still a Dral'azie great house. Tending to keep the other Houses at arm's length, all the while keeping cordial relations with them, ensuring trade still flows. The Naggacii are infamous amongst the surface dwellers of Evalaw, carving a reputation as slavers and raiders. But known underground more as merchants and masters of commerce. House Naggacii evolved and adapted over its history, and while still upholding their traditions as corsairs and raiders supplying the slave markets of the Ithen'drels, their fleet of ships developed into trading vessels and land fairing caravans, capitalising upon their budding monopoly over the trade lines between numerous cities and settlements throughout the sunless realms. It's members becoming skilled merchants and entrepreneur as well as cut-throat reavers and corsairs.   The House of the Kraken is synonymous with the city of Na'alvihor. A vast island fortress amongst the isles of the crystal sea. It was here in the aftermath of the sundering that the Naggacii formed a base of operations, patrolling the coasts and quickly becoming famed seafarers and privateers. Raiding any ships that dared approach their territory. The wealth and prosperity of Na'alvihor quicky became well known as the city state rose to prominence, as did the power and influence of the Naggacii. It was only later during the Uriahtiar unification was Na'alvihor besieged and humbled, reluctantly accepting the Il'ron'dii system where the Naggaccii officially became one of the great houses of the under empire of Tra'vanor, pledging their loyalty and service to the Imperial crown of Draugh'Zeruel. Through this affiliation did their power spread and it's tendrils across the underworld grow, becoming more invested in trade and commerce than any other of the nine great houses.

Motivations

The Naggaciis main ethos is it's nature to take whatever they can by any means to make a profit, with no regards to who they have to step over to do it. There isn't much in the way of trade or resources that slips out of the kraken grasp. Their ruthlessness is legendary, establishing monopolies on numerous commodities, committing sabotage and acts of violence when diplomacy and bargaining fail.

Reputation

The Naggacii have a long, colourful history with the other peoples of the sunless realms. Most of which is decorated in bloodshed and backstabbing, as such, outside of the trade routes and caravan trails, the Naggacii are not trusted and their name highly resented. Numerous members of the house have bounties on their heads, are a hated amongst other civilisations for the crimes they and their descendants have committed over the centuries. Even the other great houses treat them with repudiation and trust them less than their own bitte rivals. Their word is deemed a fickle thing and deals and relationships Brooke red with the house rarely as mutually fruitful as their guarantees boast them to be. However, despite this, if you are looking to acquire something rare acquired, or are interested in smuggling contraband in, the Naggacii are the most reliable source to attain it from throughout the underworld. Their resourcefulness and uncanny ability to do the seemingly impossible is unmatched.

Nothing Is Outside The Krakens Reach.

The Naggacii take their house emblem from a number of artifacts and coins looted on mass from the ancient ruins and cities they pillaged and robbed across the depths over the first centuries in the underworld around the surrounding regions of Na’alvihor. Much of which was emblazoned with this kraken head, it was deemed easier to adopt the iconography of this long dead civilisation having pilfered tons of coin and countless artifacts than to melt them down and re-smelt it with their own image. This itself reflects the transient tradition and attitudes of the Naggacii.
