Farseers of the Seven Signs

By far the most mysterious of the Three Temple orders are the Farseers. They are divinely guided by and connected to the goddess and her pantheon. Intune with the winds of magic, and able draw the very energies of the gods they serve, farseers are some of the strongest magic users the Temple boasts. Known for being able to channel other worldly energies and magics from the ethereal realm, even enacting rituals to summon beings from other planes to aid them. Those gifted with the ability to commune with the divine and see what others cannot fathom are taken to Temples when their gift is realised. There they are indoctrinated into the Temple and eventually the fareerhood itself. Typically taken in by the Temples and raised from a young age, they are educated by the priesthood and the Fareers before undergoing the beginnings of their ascension.   The Farseerhood are voluntarily blinded, many initiates of the Fareerhood spend decades, if not centuries, blind to the world as they undergo their training. There are many myths surrounding children with the sight being abducted and their eyes plucked from their sockets to become farseers. The Means are not quite so extreme. Fareers wear a traditional binding around their head, covering their eyes and rendering them sightless. Part of their core beliefs is that their birth eyes to bestow a false sight. Made to perceive light, light that caused the followers of Aulreth great ruin. Thus sacrificing their eye sight is a sign of their devotion, accepting and embracing the darkness of the abyss mother. Aiding in their perception in communing with the ethereal realm and the spirits that linger within this plane.   But the path to obtain true sight is something that must be earned, and cannot simply be given, casting aside one’s false sight is but part of the journey one a long arduous road.

Organisation.

Farseers are not bound by an organisation hierarchy like their Templars or clergy brethren. Generally speaking, one Farseers is equal to another. The only exception to this rule is the Exalt, whom has been deemed one among their number to be capable of communing directly with Aulreth herself and to lead them Temple as it's figurehead. Typically though an individual is found from birth and groomed throughout their lifetime for this honour. The vast majority of Farseers will take on an advisory role to other elements of the Temple and the faithful that seek out their guidance and foresight.
