Allune, The shattered moon

During the cataclysmic events of the Sundering, one key moment that play out during this tumultuous era was known as "The Sisters' Betrayal". Like many events of the sundering, it's consequences would be world changing and the impact would be felt for eons to come.
Three moons; Persepolis, Allune and Chandra.
Once the inky veil of the night sky was ruled over by two moons, Allune and Persepolis, the moons purpose are to be conduits for the flow of all Magic throughout the world. Feeding the flow of overworld and the underworld below.
When Allune was shattered, it formed a second celestial body, a new moon forming out of the debris of the old. Evalaws third moon, Chandra. With its creation a new goddess took form, the fourth daughter of Aulreth; Myria'cresne, the goddess of Moonlight and Mercy. She would become one of the Tribunal of Dusk, the offspring of Aulreth, that would rule the Night in their mothers stead.
Moons are controlled by two sisters and one daughter
Each moon has it's own unique orbit around the planet
Small moon - daughters': casts small shadow, lesser / inferior. (FORESHADOW THAT MAYBE HAS TO BECOME YANG, ANOTHER SUNDERING? SOMETHING EPIC AND A PROPHECY)
Large moon - Aulreths' Fuels magic in the underworld? A violet light is cast from this moon and it dwarfs its' sibling moon. Arcane practitioners rely heavily on the moon and its' orbit for magic flow (think Avatar and moon/sun relevancy) (YING)
Shattered moon - Source of magic for the overworld, a golden light is cast from the fragments of the moon, much weaker than it once was (YANG)
The two sister moons were the balance for magic in all thw world and since YANG was shattered magic has become scarce and dangerous (think dark crystal magic power)
Mana crystals store the moons essence (literally a witch thing) (also Dark Crystal) and they are diminishing as a resource due to the imbalance in the world.
Surface elves still possess magic as an innate ability but it is heavily reliant on mana foci and other magically imbued artefacts.
Drow can readily use magic but the imbalance can cause those who are not strictly trained to become VERY dangerous and unpredictable/uncontrollable
