Xenologist

A scientist practicing xenology. Most xenologists receive their education in university degree programs.
Xenologists can further specialize into subfields like xenohistory, civilization theory, existential risk studies, and interspecies sociology. Career-wise, many xenologists become academics doing research into the various intelligent species and civilizations of known space, or go to work for a private company or government organization such as the Star Patrol.
