A biowarfare agent created by the ancient Polganite Sun Empire prior to the Terminus Wars. Consisting of infectious germs held in a liquid solution, it was stored in glass bottles after manufacture and could remain potent for over seven hundred years.
Substance 63 is capable of jumping the biosphere barrier to infect humans, as the unfortunate xenologist Artym Bondarenko learned when he was exposed while investigating a hidden bunker beneath a ruined Polganite city. The bio-agent entered his bloodstream, inducing a rapidly-progressing illness which would have likely proved fatal had he not received prompt medical attention. Whether it can infect other species besides humans and Polganites is unknown, though it was speculated lupens and avens were vulnerable too on account of their human-derived origins.
