Continent on Terra, roughly centered on its south pole. In humanity's early history it was covered by a kilometers-thick ice cap, this began to melt away when industrial carbon dioxide emissions started a period of abrupt warming. Colonization soon followed, taking advantage of previously-inaccessible resource deposits.
Antarctica was purchased during the Second Interstellar Period by Jorgus Ronson, who continues to rule it as his own personal country. It remains mired in a dispute between Ronson and the Scavlords of Terra, both of whom lay claim to the entire planet.
