End of Earth

The final destruction and collapse of humanity's first global civilization on its homeworld. It came about through a mix of ecological sustainability issues left unresolved, and the proliferation of ever-more-destructive technologies such as nuclear weapons. Earth's colonies were cut off, some only to be recontacted centuries later.
