Battlespace

A battlespace is a volume in which a space battle takes place, analogous to battlefields on a planet. For a given action, the battlespace usually includes all combatant ships, their support vehicles, and other objectives or natural hazards such as stars and planets.

A ship designed to fight in a battlespace as part of a fleet action is sometimes termed a ship of the wall or ship of the plane.
