Common Docking Mechanism. Used for dcking two spacecraft together. It has a hatch wide enough for a human and/or very small equipment to scoot through. It features an active part with an extention mechanism that chases and catches the passive countepart on a soft dock on the opposing vessel to then reel the active part in for a smooth and precise hard dock.
