"Be careful, egglet, eating so much today!" Gram-nana cooed gently, as a fledgling Ebi scarfed down yet another plate of food. "You catch a single sunbeam, and you'll be out like a light!"
The dear grandmother of young
Ebi, who once gave her a warning of the sunny-day sleepies. The family says she's wise beyond her years — wait, isn't that something people usually say about kids? Gram-nana's got a LOT of years, so that must be a lot of wisdom.
Gram-Nana took care of Ebi from a very young age, stepping in when her parents weren't able to care for Ebi or her siblings for a length of time in their childhood. Though the family did recover, and all came to be well, Ebi and her Gram-Nana are still exceptionally close. Many Nahuaran locals who know the family say that Ebi and her Gram-Nana are the same two strygi, separated only by time, and it's a great point of pride for both of them.
