Overview (Skills)
We have defined a list of core skills that fit within a modern setting. If you are playing in a High Fantasy setting, you may need to add or remove some skills.
Skill System Basics
All skills are made of 3 Attributes added together to get a natural talent Score (NT). Let's assume the following attribute values.
- INT: 8
- WIS: 7
- AUR: 10
- CHM: 7
- STR: 4
- DEX: 5
- END: 6
- BTY: 5
Using Build Points
Characters start with 20 (Mortals) to 25 (Super Heroes) build points for skills. One build point adds your natural talent into the base skill score. No skill can be raised above 80 during character creation. Our example character has following NT scores.
Education = 26
Athletics = 15
By spending 2 build points (free point plus 2 build points) , we could raise our Education to 78.
Education = 26 * 3 = 78
By spending 4 build points (free point plus 4 build points), we could raise our Athletics to 75.
Athletics = 15 * 5 = 75
Using XP points
After character creation, skills are raised by spending XP points. 1 XP equals 2 points of skill level.
After completing the first story arc, the GM awards the character 4 XP points. By spending 4 XP, we can raise Education to 86.
Education = 78 + (4*2) = 86
