Physical Description

Bimpkin is a typical looking drow with long, straight white hair and dark blue skin. His eyes are a very light blue accenting his high cheekbones, strong jawline, and prominent chin. He’d look intimidating if he didn’t always have a jolly, welcoming smile. Bimpkin is often seen wearing a light brown peasant shirt that was probably white at some point.

What is your full birth name?

I don’t know what my full birth name is. I was left at the monastery without a note or anything. I didn’t have a first name for a lot of years, since so many of the older monks took extended vows of silence, but Felziver started calling me Bimpkin several years back. He said it’s his brother’s name, and I remind him of his brother, which is a great honor. I don’t really think much about where I was or who I was with before the monastery. I figure that if they didn’t want me, why the heck would I want to know them?

What is your greatest strength?

I take great pride in my ability to see the best in anyone. Everyone has something in them worth getting to know, and I like to think that I’m good at finding it.

What is your greatest weakness?

People tell me that I need to be less trusting. I guess people kind of see me as an easy mark, but I’d rather be trusting and be taken advantage of than be closed off and miss out on a new friend.

What do you perceive as your greatest flaw?

I don’t like the way elves are so long-lived. I’m not that old, especially for an elf, but some of the elves at the monastery have told me that I will watch a lot of people that I care about die of natural causes because they are human or half-orc, or even halfling, gnome or dwarf, while I’m still fairly young. It doesn’t seem quite fair to me.

What is your Social/Economic Status?

In the monastery, we don’t have much. I was given a little money before I left to help me along, but I don’t need much. Just some food in my belly and a flat place to sleep and I’m happy!

What is your biggest secret?

I realized a couple of decades ago that I’m colorblind. I’ve never told anyone, not even Felziver because it’s kind of embarrassing. I just kind of fake it and change the topic if it ever comes up.

What is your greatest fear?

I like feeling like I belong, so I guess my biggest fear would be that the world is different than I’m expecting and that I won’t fit in. I’m sure it will be alright, though.

Who is your closest still living family member?

I don’t have any family, but Felziver has always been like a dad to me. He’s a gnome, so he’s not my real dad, obviously, but he gave me my name and he gives really good advice. He was also the one that told me it was time for me to go out into the world and learn more about how it works.

Who is your closest still living friend?

There’s a human guy named Tolven who’s a super good friend! We used to eat lunch together every day and train together. We’d tell jokes and everything. He’s a really good guy, but he left the monastery about a year before me. I hope he’s doing well.

Who is your greatest rival or enemy?

I generally try to get along with everyone. That being said, there was this one guy, Sturth, at the monastery who always rubbed me the wrong way. I never could put my finger on why, though...

Who is your idol?

If I could be half the man that Felziver is, I’d be doing well for myself. Since I left the monastery, I’ve tried to imagine what he’d tell me in any situation to help me.

What is that one thing you kept from your childhood?

In the monastery, we don’t really have much in the way of material possessions, but I did keep the bedroll that I’ve slept in since I was a kid. It’s a bit flat and it has plenty of holes, but it smells like home.

What did you do to that bully in school?

Bimpkin was blissfully unaware of any bullying, thinking of it as all being in good fun.

How did you get that scar?

I was training with Tolven one day when he was a kid, and he landed a pretty good blow on my eye. It cut me under my eyebrow, which bled like a son of a gun, and left a nasty scar. He didn’t mean it, though.
