Chapter XIII: Familiar Faces
General Summary
After eating a simple breakfast and helping Phini, Xini's mother, deliver the breakfast to the Rusty Anchor, our intrepid scholars seek out information on their target, The Sword of Answering.
Upon opening your closet, you see a pile of blankets shifting ever so slightly as if breathing...
Heading to the large and grandiose library in the City of Hillcrest, they spend a large portion of the morning finding information on both the location, geological topography, and history of the sword itself. Finding that the "Retorter" is one of nine intelligent swords designed from the ancient relic, Fragarach. Deciding to search for more information based on a lead from a local adventurer named "Poppy Trill", they investigate the "Monkey's Paw" Thieve's Guild.
Striking up a conversation, Xini finds a more pinpointed location for the possible whereabouts of the tomb they're searching for, but not before having their spellbooks stolen. Tracking down the books with Divination magic, Thalgron leads them directly to the children who pocketed their books. Lunny in a fantastic display of imposing intimidation, caused the children to run away screaming.
The following morning, Phini greets the students with a wagon full of supplies pulled by the family's two oxen, Nessy and Opal. After a loving goodbye, the students set on their journey in search of the Tomb of the Forgotten King.
