History
Early Life
Born 4825, to the dragonlord family of Belaerys, she was discovered to have magical ability at the tender age of 6. Swept into the Inaugrion, she was initially slow to train, as the transition from home to Inaugrion blocked her for a time.
Youth
Growing up in the Inaugrion with other mages around her age, she’s made friends, and substitute siblings around her, Elaenya Valcoran is an older sister type to her. It was in these years that it was discovered that her gift of divination comes from her mental status being altered, and she’s acclimated to the use of drink, drugs, sex and meditation to put her mind in the state needed for divination. Her predictions are 70% accurate and draw the wealthy and prestigious to her audiences. Her skills in magic include locating undiscovered magic users, and maintaining the volcano.
Important Information
At 16 she was discovered to have a sexual relationship with the Arch Mage, Daemon Vorasha. It is said that she is his instrument and that his attention to her is a means to use her skill for his own goals. Vaenessa is a functional addict to a variety of vices - drink, drug or sex - or a combination of those things, hence her appearance as being disheveled or in a state of undress.
Current Times
At 25, Vaenessa spends her time looking after the volcano, giving audiences, and learning. Along the way, she’s got a drink in hand, and is happy to talk to nearly anyone. Sometimes found in bed with one lover or another, she’s not one to fall in love easily as some young women are prone to.
