Nisopen, an inventor of questionable repute, presents a quill designed to be summoned and dismissed by their owner.
The Quill itself is made of a variety of feathers, some even are claimed to be of most illusive of birds. This is, unfortunately, untrue and in reality are often of typical feathers made to look impressive. The base of the Quill is made of infused metals and allow a slot for the feather to slide and fuse together. Just above the tip the metal depresses in an hourglass shape, accented by a ring of detailed gems the size of droplets. The gems circle the base and give a low glow, if studied small inscriptions can be found within. The overall item runs the length of two hands, yet as thin as a typical Quill. The most discerning differance between a typical Quill and the Personal Quill is two pronged. The Circle of gems creates a unique flow of ink that is uniterupted so long as the user is channeling energy into the item. Additionally the Personal Quill can be dismissed, effectively causing it to dissapear from this world and reappear whenever summoned. The binding process burns a sigil of a small ring on the location of its first contact. This acts as the point of summon and dispersal, it also cannot be removed.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The tip (nib) of the quill has a single, vein-like ridge running from the encircled gems. This acts as the central means of transferring Ethereal/Arcane energy from the device onto the parchment or vellum.
