Magadla

The Holy City of Magadla is the seat of power of The Order of the Threesome. The Balancer, the High Priestess of the Order and the First Left-Hand Husband and First Right-Hand husband rule the city and exert their influence over the Kisangi continent from the great city of Magadla.

The great temple of the Magadla is the dominant feature of the city, towering over the bazaar and the harbor that spills out into the harbor of the Holy Dam.

Government

The highest authority in Magadla is that of the Balancer, high priestess of the Holy Threesome. Her immediate advisors are the Exalted, highest ranking priestesses of the Goddess and the First Left-Hand and Right-Hand Husbands.

Magadla and the lands immediatly surrounding it, known as Dulska is directly controlled by the Church. Magadla also has direct access to the mineral rich mountains that border on Cidan Mashada. Any person displaying the amulet of the priesthood is greatly respected by the nomadic tribes of the Cidan Mashada, hence Magadla's authority extends even into that great desert.

Guilds and Factions

Besides the priesthood, there are two powerful factions in Magadla. The salt miners and their associated slavers from the core of the city's industry and their wealth is sufficient to make even the Right-Hand Priests tolerate the cruelties of slavery.

The other commercial power is the glassblowers. Although the guild does not hold the direct power enjoyed by the Glassblowers of Fariweb, they do provide the liturgical amulet for the Order. And of course, their glass pens are widely used for writing.

Architecture

Inspired by the Holy Threesome of Gods and the priesthood of The Order of the Threesome, Magadla's architecture leans heavily towards traingle and tower construction. The Holy Temple has a great tower that stretches over the library and is constructed out of the glass-steel of the Fariweb Glassblowers.

Natural Resources

The salt mined from the mountains bordering the great desert of Cidan Mashada is one of the primary exports of Magadla.
