The Tri-Cities Sector is part of the Great Lakes Megaloplois and consists of the Saginaw Metropolitan Area, Midland Metropolitan Area and Bay City Metropolitan Area.

Industry & Trade

The Tri-Cities Sector has been fighting a up hill battle past decades, suffering a number of major setbacks. Poverty is a large problem in the Sector, as industry only slowly recovered after being nearly wiped twice. However beginig in the 22nd century industry has started to take some big steps towards recovery. Especially after Firetronic Arms decided to open a plant in the Tri-Cities Sector.

Apex Security

The Law Enforcement and Security provider of the Great Lakes Megalopolis is Apex Security, battleing high crime rate in the Tri-Cities Sector due to widespread poverty.

Dragon Tear Syndicate

The Dragon Tear Syndicate dominates the criminal underworld of the Tri-Cities Sector. The Syndicate holds absolute power over the drug trade in the Sector.

History

Before the establishment of the Great Lakes Megapolis and the Tri-Cities Sector, the Bay City Metropolitan Area and Midland Metropolitan Area was heavily affected by the Great Floodings in 2063, destroying much of Bay City and nothern part of the Midland Metropolitan Area causing tens of millions in damages.
The young Tri-Cities Sector faced another catastrophy because of a major industrial desaster. In 2071 an explosion in a chemical factory set the entire entire factory complex ablaze, leading to even more massiv secondary explosion when other parts of the complex caught fire. The inferno culminated in the explosion of the chemical storage facility with a skyhigh fireball and a shockwave decimating closeby buildings and messureing 3,4 on the Richter-scale in a 600 kilometer away sysmology station.
