Demographics
People are relatively evenly distributed throughout different species in the Oasis. Naturally, due to its location, there is a disproportionately large quantity of desert Srirlings, sand dragonlings, humans, and lizardfolk, but these four species only make up about 30% of the population, with other species making up the other 70%, relatively evenly distributed throughout the species. Many people there work in maintenance, making up around 6-7% of the population, as the city is kept impeccably clean and the many technological and magical devices that give the city its brilliant shine need constant upkeep. Most people in the city are relatively wealthy, but there are almost as many if not more visitors than permanent residents, some of those with differing wealth classes.
Industry & Trade
Much of the cities industry is based around tourism, with massive quantities of brothels, casinos, hotels, inns, and the like. Many of the cities inhabitants make their money catering to tourists, as this location is designed to bring in people of all types and keep them here for as long as possible. It is known as a hub for catharsis, a place where sex, crime, and the like is regular.
Tourism
Many people visit here from all around the world, desiring to see the massive lights, shows, and let out all of their pent up emotions in the many tourist attractions within this town. They often stay in the countless hotels, inns, and brothels that scatter the Arico streets. Due to the fact that a large percentage of the cities residents make their careers from catering to tourists, there are countless things to do in Arico for anyone wanting to visit, making it a hugely popular vacation destination.
Architecture
Most of the buildings are tall, built from concrete and stone, with numerous lights and signs scattered about them. A typical residential building holds over 10 families, and often can reach several stories in height. It is one of the closest things outside of Eshaque to skyscrapers.
