Acam Lake

The Acam lake is a lake that was though of being bottomless but with The dawn of magic, a floating island got destroyed and felt to the lake and now has a bottom that no one can reach but that can be seen. It is located in the Mebe Jungle.

Myth

This lake has been always surrounded with myths and even one prophecy of the Fareints.

Saviours from Fedan'th

A prophecy talks of a monster thrown into the deeps of the hole while left unconscious. It says that once the monster awakes, by an unprediced event, it will break free of its prision and destroy everything that the *this needs name* ever loved. It is a prophecy of the fareints and it also says that the Afreys will save them from the monster.

Bottomless of the Acam lake

THere were always myths of the hole being bottomless, of being a hole in the world and being able to reach the other side of the world by that hole. Many people tried to reach the bottom, dying or surrending in the process, thought it made the Fareints and the Dranith create new technologies to be able to be sumerged more time than nature allows.

The lake

It started with a slow inclination that changed abruptly to almost a 90º fall after 10 metres, leading to an abyssal hole without a visible bottom.

Fauna & flora

While there was not too much variety, there was some species in the lake, mostly living in the coast or the walls of the hole.

After The dawn of magic

The lake

The first visual change is that there are now rocks on the coast parts, standing out of the water. Then, one sees the hole, now with a bottom of rocks so far down that no-one can reach it.

Fauna & flora

Almost all the fauna and flora that live here died after the falling of the floating island. Somehow, some animals and plants of the fallen island managed to survive and occupe this lake as their new home.

Sirens

They are one of the species that fell down with the falling island and managed to survive. They live at the bottom of the hole, between the rocks of what once was their home, and are trying to find a way out to the open sea, as their numbers are diminishing quickly.
