The Saber is comprised of a group of anywhere between 50 to 100 trained mercenaries.

Equipment

Depending on the directive of the active team, Saber equipment varies from the versatile light armor of the stealth defense team or the sturdy heavy armor and gleaming shields of the guard defense team, all members carry the symbol of the Silent Saber somewhere on their person. All necessary standard equipment is produced and supplied by The Iron Steeple .

Weaponry

All members of the Saber have a standard array of weaponry intended for protecting The Iron Adviserincluding a martial weapon such as an axe or sword, a ranged weapon like a shortbow or light crossbow and several versatile weapons like daggers and bolas. Depending on the preferred fighting style of the individual, however, certain specialized weapons are also allowed with explicit permission from the Adviser such as but not limited to, heavy crossbows, whips, tridents, lances, etc.

Vehicles

As needed, the Saber has access to various forms of transportation in the form of horses and drawn carts to use for keeping formation around the Adviser when he travels.

Structure

The Silent Saber effectively defers to the needs and directions of the Iron Adviser as they are a squad dedicated primarily to his protection, each sub-squadron also appoints a leader in order to streamline communication among the group.

Training

In preparation to become a member of The Silent Saber, recruits go through a rigorous training regiment that ends with a combination technical and practical exam from which the most impressive trainees are selected to join the group. The active Sabers maintains a steady rotation of officers who take turns between performing active duty, training periods and vacation time to recuperate.
