Phaery Realm
An Elysium of Fantasy
The Phaery Realm is a mysterious place--the homeland of the phaes and their cousins. Though legends of this mysterious place are many, concrete facts about it are not so commonplace. Also known as Dryadalia in Caleian, this realm is commonplace among myths and folklore, who describe it as a magical relam home to all that is strange and unknowable. Though its legends are widespread, very few people have actually dared to venture into Dryadalia, and even fewer have made it back. They say that the travelers who get lost in the woods turn into spirits and Shades, doomed to forever wander and haunt the forests of Elysium until they decide to depart the world forever.
Geography
The Phaery Realm is like a vast and mysterious forest imbued with magic. Although the Phaery Realm can be summarized as one big, magical forest, that's not all it is. There are three main regions of the Phaery Realm: the forests of Elysium, the Alguay Peaks and the Lake of Tears.
The forests of Elysium are by far the largest of the three areas. The forests are huge and vast, and full of strange life. The forests are not normal, for they shift and change, making it virtually impossible to draw a map of the Phaery Realm. Nested deep inside the forests of Elysium, the Phaery Halls lie. The only way to reach the Phaery Halls is to take the Road of Hame(Ha-mey), named after a great mage who tamed the ever-shifting forests by binding a road to connect all the major areas of the Phaery Realm.
The Alguay Peaks are a range of tall mountains with little vegetation and yet full of winding paths leading nowhere in particular.
The Lake of Tears is a large lake somewhere inside the forests of Elysium. It is said that the waters of the lake are imbued with powerful magic. Swimming there is not advised.
Fauna & Flora
Dryadalia is full of unique and wondrous wildlife. While trees, grass and flowers still grow like normal, their appearance is surely nothing but normal. While the trees shift from vibrant hues of purple to green, and can sometimes even move, the flowers and grass twist in strange ways, appearing almost like small spirals in the ground. The animals are just as bizarre--ranging from swarms of strange butterflies to large, violet boar-like creatures. Nobody truly knows for sure how many wild species of animals reside within the Phaery Realm, and how they interact with one another.
Natural Resources
There is no shortage of wood in the Phaery Realm, although some may be reluctant to be chopped down. Legends say the Alguay Peaks are full of valuable ore never before touched by human hands. Other than those, it is unknown what other riches may lie hidden within this strange realm.
