Way of Radiant Courage

Monk Subclass (Source: Xanathar's Guide to Everything)
This is a reskinned variant of the Way of the Sun Soul subclass. It is as follows:
A handful of open monasteries devoted to Leoric are scattered across world, with the first and greatest co-existing with the ancient and majestic Grand Temple of the Sun in the heart of the metropolis of Athonia. A reasonably sized order, there are sufficient brethren of this tradition about in the world that people generally recognize them for what they are, but few enough that seeing one in real life remains notable. The primary focus of the order is to venerate the Proud One, and seeking inner purification through meditation and self mastery is the chief means of doing so.
Public displays of heroics and derring-do are favored by wandering members of this tradition, the better to bring hope and inspire courage among the populace. Brave acts undertaken in out of the way places or without witnesses among the people are sometimes necessary of course, but last minute rescues, daring interventions, and dramatic reversals in front of common spectators are greatly preferable. It is such displays of Leoric's munificence that remind the people to praise his glory, and such clear evidence of the Roarer's continued interest in the world which allows good folk everywhere to take comfort that their faith in his benevolence is not misplaced.

Prideful Devotion
First and foremost, this monastic tradition exists to venerate the righteous sun god Leoric. You may not enter this Way if you are evil or out of favor with the Church of Leoric. If the next level you would take is the 6th, 11th, or 17th level of monk and you are either evil or are currently out of favor with the Church of Leoric, you cannot take that level.

Radiant Ray
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to project a ray of radiant energy from your eyes. As you continue to gain levels in this class, the range of your rays improves, and you gain the ability to project more than one ray at a time by spending ki points. The following table describes the ascending benefits of this feature:

Whenever you could make an unarmed strike attack, you may make a Radiant Ray attack instead. This is an Attack action that projects a ray as a ranged spell attack using Wisdom as your casting ability. The ray deals radiant damage equal to your Martial Arts damage die + your Wisdom modifier.

When you use Radiant Ray you may spend up to 6 ki points; for each ki point you spend you create an additional ray. You may hurl each ray at the same target or at different targets, within range. Make a separate ranged spell attack for each ray.

Radiant Soul
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have allowed the radiant light of Leoric to enter your soul, which is detectable to some mystical senses. As you continue to gain levels in this class, the power of radiant energy infused with your soul spills forth into first a nimbus and then an aura that protects you and grants further boons as well. The following table describes the ascending benefits of this feature:

Your eyes begin to turn yellow or gold, and they shine with inner light when you actively use the various features of this tradition; this can make it more difficult for you to pass unnoticed. Your inner radiance grants you advantage on saving throws to resist the frightened condition.
6
You gain the ability to mainifest a glowing nimbus of golden light around or above your head, which you can extinguish or activate as a bonus action. The nimbus is extinguished if you become incapacitated or unconscious. While the nimbus is activated it grants the following benefits:
  • You are resistant to radiant damage
  • You suppress magical darkness within a 5-foot radius of yourself.
  • You shed bright non-flickering golden light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. Other creatures in this area of light have advantage on saving throws to resist the frightened condition.
11
Instead of a nimbus, you can now wreath yourself entirely in a glowing aura of golden light. You continue to be able to extinguish or activate this ability as a bonus action, and the aura is also extinguished if you become incapacitated or unconscious. While the aura is activated it grants the following benefits:
  • You are resistant to necrotic damage
  • You are immune to radiant damage
  • You are immune to the frightened condition.
  • You suppress magical darkness within a 10-foot radius of yourself.
  • You shed bright non-flickering golden light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Other creatures in this area of light have advantage on saving throws to resist the frightened condition.
Radiant Burst
Starting at 17th level, you gain the ability to create an orb of light that erupts in a blinding burst of radiance. As an action, you can spend any number of ki points available to you to magically create an orb and hurl it at a point you choose with a range of 15 feet + 15 feet per ki point spent, where it erupts into a sphere of radiant light with a radius of 5 feet per ki point spent.
Each creature in the affected area that is not behind opaque total cover must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes radiant damage equal to 1d10 per ki point spent + your Wisdom bonus, and suffers the blinded condition for 2 rounds per ki point spent. Undead and oozes have disadvantage on this saving throw.
A creature blinded by this spell makes another Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, it is no longer blinded. Finally, any darkness in the affected area that was created by a spell is dispelled.
