You or a creature you can see within range experience a temporary transformation. An unwilling creature can succeed on a Constitution saving throw to not be affected by the spell. When cast on an unwilling creature, the spell is considered to be a curse which can be removed by spells and abilities such as Remove Curse or Greater Restoration. This spell does not work on undead or constructs, or on creatures that lack a corporeal form.
For the duration, the target creature takes on a feral aspect, with increased lean muscle mass and magically sharpened teeth, and their behavior becomes more instinctive and primal. The creature has disadvantage on all Intelligence checks and saving throws, and on all Charisma checks except Intimidation. If the creature tries to cast a spell, they must first succeed on a Constitution saving throw or the casting fails and the spell is wasted. However, the creature gains the following benefits:
- They gain advantage on initiative checks and Dexterity saving throws.
- They gain advantage on Strength (Athletics), Wisdom (Perception), Wisdom (Survival), and Charisma (Intimidation) checks.
- Their walking speed increases by 5 feet, and their jumping distance is doubled (but cannot exceed maximum movement per round).
- If the creature has a mouth, as a bonus action they can attempt to bite another creature within 5 feet. This is a natural weapon attack with the finesse trait that deals 2d4 piercing damage on a hit. The creature has proficiency with this attack.
Immediately after the spell ends, an affected creature must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or suffer one level of exhaustion. A creature that was affected by the spell for longer than 1 minute has disadvantage on this save.
At Higher Levels. You can concentrate on this spell for 3 additional hours per spell slot level used to cast it above 2nd level.
