God King's Boon

Every 5 years during the Swelter Solstice the God Kings of each nation celebrate their followers, by choosing new Champions to represent their Kingdom. They choose one of their followers who they feel the strongest connection to and grant them a Boon. Anyone can be chosen to recieve the Boon, once they are they are no longer Cilian and now considered Neo-Cilian. Their body changes in certain ways, they gain increased thought capacity allowing for their senses to increase in efficiency, their bodies age slower and are overall stronger. Many grow taller but it isn't a standardised effect.

The Boon

The Boon allows the user to do almost anything. They gain a connection to their God King in which they allow them to utilise their primordial powers. While they dont have accesss to the full extent of the God Kings powers, they are able to perform some extraordinary feats. The heroes gain control over the elements that can be found around them, fire, water and air primarily. The ground is harder for them to excert control over as it's not as free moving as the others. Everyone has access to the same scope of powers but some people are naturally stronger than others.

Common Uses

The two most common uses for the Boon are creating fires and moving the wind. Creating large gusts of wind that can move people or objects is trivial for the Boon. Over the years Champions have developed their own forms of fighting with the use of the Boon, a favourite is to use an object commonly known as Fire Residue, a tar ball that can be lit on fire and thrown at the enemy. These balls hit and remain on the target burning until they're removed or put out.
Their are too many possibilities to list as Champions are always finding new things to do with their powers and hoarding those secrets to themselves. Only a few Champions have ever been strong enough and learnt of methods to travel through the air with their Boon, it involves collecting the air around them and forcing themselves into the air; this requires a very strong mental fortitude, and strength of their Boon.

Limitations

It's hard to list all of the things people can do with the Boon, however it's much easier to list the limitations to their powers.

• You aren't able to "destroy" anything, not fully, you can break objects down with a large amount of strength and concentration but you can't fully remove it from existance.
• You can't create something from nothing, you can transmute objects if they're similar and you understand them enough but you aren't able to create an item out of thin air. That power lies only with the God Kings.
• You can't grant someone else access to the Bond.
• You can't just do "anything", you won't know all you can do right away but must practice and learn.
