Askewat
The Askewat is a nocturnal bird-of-prey with keen senses. They are highly intelligent and are used by nobles in many nations for hunting game using falconry techniques. Many adult Askewat grow to have a wingspan of over three meters, weighing nearly fifteen kilograms, and can take down a small deer, though they could not consume the entire carcass.
Askewat are unique in their ability to magically bond with a sentient being with the proper background. With the right training and magical aptitude, the handler can see through the bonded askewat's eyes to watch from the sky, mentally directing the bird. This is incredibly useful for scouting at night due to the askewat's incredible night vision and motion tracking abilities.
