Political party in the Monhalian Union focused on promoting and supporting what they view as democratic values. They typically have a populist leaning.
Prior to the dissolution of the royal family, the Democratists held a variety of public gatherings to get the locals on their side. When Max de la Rosa revealed themselves as the Countess, the Democratists would often seek them out to get answers they couldn't from the duke. They were often rebuffed by Royalists defending Max, even if that isn't what Max wanted.
They were the largest group calling for creation of parliament, and once that happened in 3210, many of their members secured seats in the new government. However, the proportion of seats they hold compared to other political parties has waned over the years. Though they often do well at voicing the concerns of the average person, and will block actions that might cause people harm, they're criticized for not providing any successful ideas themselves.
