The Gloomwalker Halflings

This article is one of a series providing basic information for someone choosing to role-play a Halfling of the Gloomwalker Culture in a TTRPG based in the World of Cartyrion. The series is designed to encourage preparation of a Player Character by focusing on the nature of the character without focusing on the game statistics.

At some point in the past, your ancestors decided that they would seek out the better things in life underground. After all, it has been working for the Dwarves for thousands of years, and they seem to know how to have a good time. And so your distant relatives took their pursuit of comfort and happiness into the darkness. It was difficult at first, but Halflings are nothing if not adaptable.

You may be living among the Dwarves, or you may have been raised in an enclave that was predominantly of Gloomwalker Halfings, but you have adapted physically and mentally to a life underground.
