The Vell

Demographics

Everyone in The Vell is Vellich. Almost all were born here and those few who have travelled to live here, have likely not travelled far.

Government

Evafeyra is the Ruler of The Vell, and is supported in this by two Junior Rulers and a few Administrators. 
It is not a democracy nor a monarchy, but Ruling is one of the many life paths, and one which few would choose unless they felt called to it.

Infrastructure

The Vell has more industry than most of Vellikka, and has a base for some of the major organisations such as the Story Vault. 
Unlike any other settlement in Vellikka, The Vell also has a Surplus Home, a building designed for taking in people whose settlements are unable to support them any more. Not all settlements manage to match their populations to their food production, and so any additions are sent to The Vell. To ensure that all are well fed, settlements whose food production is more than their population may send surplus foods to The Vell as well, and they are also stored here.

Districts

There are three main districts within The Vell; Zaranta, Dorillin and Velki, which were originally three villages that grew into each other, to form a single settlement. 
Each district has its own infrastructure, but unlike three separate villages, the districts share and share alike.
