The head accountant for the Birchfield Institute and its many, expensive academic and business ventures. Other directors and departments make a point to be in Ven’s good graces, since he is in charge of their budgets.

shrewd, always reading people’s expression/intentions. Style of military fashion. Director of Expeditions in charge of the proctors.
Ulysses Birchfield
Lord Director of the Birchfield Institute. Statuesque nobleman, with dark skin, simply shaved hair. His expression is dignified and intelligent.
