Thorium

Thorium is a dense metallic element found in certain ancient mineral sands and heavy crystalline ores, often alongside other rare metals. It is known among alchemists and arcane scholars for the steady internal energy it contains, which slowly releases over long periods of time. Because of this property, thorium has become valuable in the construction of long lasting arcane power sources, particularly devices meant to produce stable magical heat or sustained energy without constant spellcasting.
