Argon

Argon is a rare and inert gas found in small quantities within the atmosphere, though it rarely attracts attention outside scholarly circles. Colorless, odorless, and almost completely unreactive, argon is prized by alchemists and artificers for environments where other gases might interfere with delicate processes. When sealed within glass chambers or enchanted vessels, argon can create a stable atmosphere that prevents metals, reagents, or magical components from reacting with the surrounding air. Because of this property, artificers often use argon filled containers when forging sensitive alloys or assembling arcane devices that must remain free from contamination. Some laboratories also rely on argon filled chambers to preserve fragile magical materials that would otherwise corrode or decay. Although it does not burn, glow, or react dramatically like many other alchemical substances, argon is quietly valued as a protective element that allows more volatile materials to be handled safely.
