Gontali Penal Legions

Gontali Penal Legions are legions comprised of slaves and criminals. Unlike most Gontali legions, penal legions are encouraged to capture slaves, with every slave captured by a soldier reducing the length of their enslavement or sentence. Penal legions are vastly greater in size than a regular legion, as they are given inferior training prior to deployment; regardless, they strike fear at least as much as more combat capable units since each soldier is personally motivated to capture enemies.
