Eldritch Magic

Eldritch Magic is a form of magic foreign to Theras; it originates from the Far Realm, beyond the Outer Planes after the edge of the Astral Sea where the Ethereal Plane cannot reach.

Magic Use

While Eldritch Magic, is unable to achieve great heights due to the Divine Gate, it is also under strict watch by most of the deities. Even deities of the Far Realm, do not have the power to enforce it against all the deities in many planes.

Manifestation

Eldritch magic is rare; most scholars and adventurers do not witness it themselves. Its practitioners are few, with Aberrations being the only beings capable of wielding it naturally. Non-aberrant creatures who can use eldritch magic are either insane or corrupted in some way.
There is a vague yet evident connection between eldritch magic and psionic abilities; psions and kyth can better protect themselves from its effects, and some of their abilities seem to replicate the effects of eldritch magic.
