Drakhorak
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The city of Drakhorak , is located in mountainous regions. It is perched at the foot of towering peaks, surrounded by jagged cliffs and deep ravines. It is a harsh, rugged land where the air is thin, and the inhabitants are hardened by the elements.
Government
Drakhorak is governed by the powerful Stone Giants, who rule with an iron fist, maintaining strict control over the gladiatorial factions and ensuring their dominance in the region. These Stone Giants hold the ultimate power in the city, though their rule is constantly tested by the fiercely competitive gladiator culture. The city is divided into regions based on the various gladiator guilds and factions, each with its own power struggles.
Districts
- Titan's Arena: This colossal structure is the heart of Drakhorak, where the greatest battles of strength and willpower are fought. The arena is carved from the very rock of the mountainside, and the crowds cheer as gladiators, beasts, and monsters clash for supremacy. Legends are born here, and warriors can find themselves immortalized in stone statues if they achieve enough glory.
- Council of Tymorak: The ruling body of Drakhorak, composed of the Stone Giants who oversee all matters of law, politics, and gladiatorial affairs. The Council meets in the Stoneheart Hall, a massive chamber deep within the mountain, where the fate of the city and its warriors is decided.
- Rage Pit: A smaller, but notorious, arena for the bloodthirsty and the outcasts. Gladiators who fail to achieve fame in the Titan's Arena are often sent here to prove themselves in brutal, no-holds-barred combat. The Rage Pit is known for its savage fights, where even the audience’s bloodlust knows no bounds.
- Temple of Bahgtru:This imposing temple serves as the center for religious worship in Drakhorak. The high priests of Bahgtru are revered, and many gladiators seek divine favor before entering the arena. Rituals are held here to bless weapons and armor, and sacrifices are made to ensure victory in combat.
- Hammerforge: The largest forge in Drakhorak. It is here that the finest weapons and armor are crafted, made for the city’s gladiators and warlords. The forge produces not only ordinary blades and shields but also massive weapons, such as the Earthbreaker Axes, wielded by the hill giants.
- Bloodfire Clanhold: A massive bastion at the edge of the city, home to the Bloodfire Clan, a reknown and fearsome clan of Hill Giants . The clan holds a monopoly on some of the most brutal fighting techniques, including the infamous Stonefist combat style. Clan champions are revered throughout the city, and the clanhold is where all the clan's warriors train in the arts of war and gladiatorial combat.
- Forge of Thunderclash: A secondary forge, where the Thunderclash Clan forges siege weapons and war machines used both in the gladiatorial battles and on the battlefield. Their massive Thunderclash Siege Hammers are iconic weapons used to break down the strongest defenses.
- Mountainside Watch: A series of watchtowers and fortifications built into the surrounding mountain range, maintained by the Stormwatch Guard. These fortifications serve as the city’s first line of defense against outside invaders.
