Cuneidr

Cuneidr, also know as Spawn of Sgiadubh by the Prasri, are a species of dragons with vague canine like behaviour and apperance. Cuneidr are nicknamed Ambush Drakes by Yokun soldiers of the Emerald Yotsereg following several border encounters on eastern Sabersycha.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Cuneidr have a pair of undersized wings, an elongated jaw and a musuclar build. They often walk on all fours, though they have prehnsile claws with opposable thumbs on their front limbs, and can comfortably walk on their hind limbs. Their scales are light shades of black and grey, and slowly develop an orange or green tinge as they age; the color of their scales depends on a specimen's genetic ancestry, and some don't change their color with age.

Behaviour

Cuneidr are pack hunters with a strong social nature often compared to that of wolves. They live in packs comprised of one or two mating pairs and their offspring. Cuneidr are highly territorial, and extremely aggressive when protecting their eggs. With the exception of her pack members, a brooding cuneidr female attacks any creature that does not retreat immediately after she snarls at him, regardless of its size or power.
