Career

Qualifications

The art of Bladesinging is exculsively for the Elves, often the High Elf, with some Avariels and Sehan Elves with few Wood Elves and even rarer Dark Elves, with almost unheard Grey Elves who abandoned the art after their exile from their homelands in Epeoris.

Perception

Purpose

Elves consistently strive to infuse art into virtually every facet of life, a principle that holds especially true for the Magus. Many elven cultures assert that they were the original magi, and the ancient and revered martial art known as the Way of Sword, Song, and Spell is a testament to their historical significance. The elves have meticulously guarded the secrecy of this discipline, resolutely ensuring that its knowledge remains exclusive to their people. This commitment to secrecy has involved a relentless campaign of magical manipulations, document destruction, memory alterations, and even executions for the offense of teaching non-elves.

Social Status

Within elven society, the Bladesinger is revered as a guardian and champion of elven culture, occupying a prominent status similar to that of an anointed knight in human society. Bladesingers play a crucial role in upholding elven principles and the way of life, regarded as protectors of the elven heritage. The training of Singers of Blades follows a master-apprentice tutelage system, wherein a master imparts knowledge to a limited number of apprentices. This passing of the torch ensures the continuity of their work in defending elven society and promoting the core tenets and values integral to their way of life.
