The Leaflings' Acceptance

Acceptance of Fairykind

The Fairykin of the Wraith Globe can survive in nearly every environment imaginable. For this reason, there is a massive, somewhat enigmatic communication network between the many Fairy Communities throughout the Wraith Globe. To communicate whether or not a passing traveler is a friend to Fairykind or not, there is a certain tradition that causes outsiders to be considered friends or even honorary members of the Fairies.

History

As the domain of Fairykind began to spread into less hospitable corners of the Wraith Globe, it became increasingly clear to many Fairy communities that some passing travelers were not friendly towards their kind. To combat this, Fairies began to furiously communicate with each other to find a solution to this problem, until this simple solution was made and a consensus was reached.

Execution

In short, if the members of an individual Fairy community come across travelers, they will judge how hospitable the individuals appear to be and invite them into their abode if they feel it is safe. Once they have gotten acquainted with the outsiders they will subtly test their friendliness and hospitality, at which point they will either invite the outsiders to a feast or politely shoo them away. This feast, which is often referred to as the Leaflings' Feast, represents a new bond made with the outsiders. It will then be slowly communicated to the rest of Fairykind that those individuals can be trusted and welcomed in if they require help or provisions.

Components and tools

The Leaflings' Feast usually consists of Autumnal ingredients of the location in which the respective community resides, even if it may not be autumn when a given feast takes place. Much like the rest of their cooking, Fairies often incorporate magic spices and even some magical ingredients into their cooking, ingredients that provoke feelings of coziness, warmth, merriment, and friendship in the mind.

Participants

In order for a leafling's Feast to be officially recognized, the leader of said Fairy settlement must be present and approve of the action.
