Te-Khara, the unsized

During the War in heaven, a piece of Luna's shadowy-shimmering armor was broken off, and fell into the Wyld. Aeons later, it reappeared into the pocket of a small child, perhaps four years of age, beset by bullies.   The child, Keniki thought he knew what was coming, the bullies never missed a change to pick on him. So he was totally unprepared for when the bullies seemed unable to even detect his presence.   He would scream their name, and they'd not hear it... He'd dance up and down in front of them, and they would not see him. Calling it good, he'd go about his business, free of their interference, happy to go practice art in class in peace. But whenever he had to gain attention that year, to submit individual items of schoolwork, he'd been unable to do so.   The item stayed in his posession, he was loathe to leave it out of his possession, and kept it touching his skin at all times, for over two decades. He also enjoyed dipping it into artistic medium, such as paint, then letting it spread over canvas or other substate, creating quite fetching patterns.   However, this all stopped, when, as an adult, he went through a nearby Shadowland, by mistake. Doing so, he found out a Rakhkat's senses were not affected, and contracted a fatal case of death by excessive clawing and biting.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Te-Khara was quite effected by it's enemy, the principle of hierarchy, and then by its sojourn through the Wyld, and works by subtly affecting perceptions: one cannot properly assess the bearer of the item as a threat, because threats and risks are only properly compared to one another.   In the story, Keniki avoided all threats but that of the Rakhkat, whose cruelty and lack of self-preservation means they never stopped to consider his threat to them, and just attacked him for the entertainment value.

Oh no! What a terribly fatal case of death. This item is really interesting; I like how you gave it a negative quality to offset the really cool power. I'd also love to see some Keniki's art! Very cool.
