They're also what seals any indenture contracts in Dari, specifically any relating to the Great Companies, hence their common name, which dates so far back as to be considered their original name, although many content indenture contracts in Dari are ancient, but not _THAT_ ancient.
Other rumors say a small population of them lives near each Neverborn, fed by their breath, and recording every thought such beings emit. Dying precipitously, but living short, fulfilling lies, as the creatures reckon things.
